Located on the cross roads of Kollwitzstrasse and Sredzkistrasse diagonally opposite Anna Blume this is the perfect place to go to for have Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch or even just coffee and a cake. Their menu is very similar to all of the others around and of the three cafes on this crossroads I would say it is the second most popular and perhaps sometimes overlooked by the areas clientele. I have been here many times for brunch and the food is excellent and they normally have plenty of outside seating even when people are queuing across the road.
The inside decor is very sumptuous with velvet curtains and massive glittering reproductions of Klimt artwork on the walls. The real gem of this establishment though is round the corner, they have a separate bäckerei and konditorei which is great of you want to just grab a quick coffee and a cake or pastry. The actually make the cakes sold at the more popular Anna Blume and supply a lot of the cafes in the area.
Todays visit was just a short one to pick up some cake to take away but the shop is always a pleasure to visit as it is a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. The cakes are reasonably prices and the portions are huge, the selection is always varied and they normally have a lot of season flavours alongside the normal selection you would expect to find in a German cake shop. Everything I have tried from here has been wonderful and the biggest problem you will find is deciding what to choose.
Check out their website but I don’t recommend this if you are hungry
